Is A MILC better than a DSLR?

Hey there, I'm curious about something. I've been looking into getting a new camera, and I've come across two options: the MILC and the DSLR. I'm wondering, is one truly better than the other? I've heard that MILCs are lighter and more portable, but DSLRs are known for their superior image quality. What do you think?
