Why are there no entry-level UX jobs?

I've noticed that despite the growing demand for user experience (UX) professionals in the tech industry, there seems to be a lack of entry-level UX jobs available. Can you help me understand why this might be the case? Are companies expecting UX candidates to already have significant experience and a portfolio of work to showcase? Or are there other factors at play that make it difficult for new graduates and aspiring UX designers to break into the field?
