To access files and photos received via AirDrop on your Mac, start by opening a Finder window.

Once the Finder window is open, locate the Downloads section in the sidebar. Clicking on it will reveal a list of all the files and photos that have been received through AirDrop.

For Macs with OS X 10.11.4 or later, there is an additional feature available. When a Live Photo is received via AirDrop, you will see an option to 'Open in Photos' in the AirDrop window.
